The Fort

2009_08_01

Well Nana and Grandad made it home with the boys on Friday and we're so happy that they're home! Besides the fact that things have gotten a lot louder around here and Brayden picked up with the teasing right where he left off things are great! I think he must be going through some sort of change from traveling to Calgary and being away from normalcy because he is really acting up the last few days and getting out of control, very out of habit for him. Anyway, hopefully things will settle down a bit this week.

Yesterday the weather was perfect outside and so we took everybody to Fort Henry since we had never been before. Fort Henry was constructed between 1832 and 1837 to protect the Lake Ontario end of the Rideau canal from the US. We learned alot and had a great time together!

After that we had some lunch downtown, can't go wrong with bottomless chips and salsa...and then came home for a dip in the pool! Hopefully I can get some pictures from Grandad's camera from the pool, everybody got in except for Char and it was a blast!

We've had some laughs this week as well! On Friday when the boys came home Aymie went up to Drew to say hi and Drew says
"Aymie, you look like a clown except your hair isn't green!" then today at the dinner table he says "Aymie your skin is dark, it's like you're turning into one of those brown people!". You gotta love kids and the fact that they'll say anything that they think! We love Aymie and the fact that she doesn't take offense at our children!
